What is it?

Loss and bereavement is often referred to in relation to an individual experiencing the passing away of a loved one, friend or someone close to them, it also encapsulates the bereavement process which can vary from person to person as everyone may grieve in their own way. It can also encompass the loss of a relationship whether it be a partner or friend, being laid off from a job or grieving over the development of a disease.While there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that, in time, can renew you and permit you to move on.

Grief is a natural response to loss. As grief and the process of grieving can vary so much and involve so many different emotional reactions there is no single way to define grief however it could be characterized as the normal and natural emotional reaction to loss or change of any kind.
